IT PROGRAMS MANAGER Environment, Health and Safety Office-Information Technology Team (EHS-IT), to manage the EHS-IT team that provides direct maintenance, development, and operational support of EHS Office IT systems, information management system platforms, custom applications, vendor-provided software, and staff and office hardware; and direct the provision of exemplary customer support for EHS Management System (EHS-MS) applications. Will manage requests for comprehensive communications, data analytics, and metrics reporting from EHS staff, EHS coordinators, and other MIT departments; act as the primary EHS IT business process manager, advocating with MIT HR (Learning Center) and IS&T to meet current and future EHS-MS information management requirements; identify and recommend system upgrades and enhancements to existing EHS applications and platforms; negotiate with IS&T for resources to develop applications or allocate/contract for resources to develop custom solutions; advise on, approve, and manage new EHS information management solutions and IT equipment acquisition and deployment; define strategies for and implements changes to EHS IT infrastructure for use by EHS programs and office administration; provide expertise in IT project scoping, planning, monitoring, and issues escalation and resolution; and manage the IT budget for EHS Office EHS information management. Systems in use include SAP applications: PI space registration, SARA annual chemical reporting, supervisor injury reporting, and Level II inspections; on site systems platform (chemical inventory software); asbestos management program platform; and a collection of applications custom-designed to manage information using vendor provided platforms (QuickBase, Smart Sheet, Google Suites, etc.).
