We are seeking a Research Data Analyst who is needed for the Division of Neuroimmunology. The Division is conducting several large epidemiological studies of multiple sclerosis. The successful candidate will perform analyses of the collected epidemiologic and neuroimaging data.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Will derive variables in Stata, or R, clean data, perform analyses on large complex datasets and produce tables and graphs in publication-quality form and present results to senior investigators.
Knowledge of longitudinal data analysis and Cox proportional hazards models is desired.
The position reports to the faculty principal investigators and senior statistician of the clinical research projects.
The position will also require management of complex datasets within a UNIX environment.
Additional duties include training and assisting other students, post-docs and research affiliates in the use of the analysis system and also acting as a program reviewer and quality control checkpoint person for analyses others have conducted.
Other statistical duties needed/assigned.
Derive quantitative metrics and perform quality control of an image analysis pipeline.
Should also be familiar with Unix environment.
Must be willing to conduct database management.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or a related quantitative field required. Three years of related experience required.
Additional education (Master's level) may substitute for some required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
*JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

The ideal candidate will have R/Stata experience outside of their schoolwork.
At least intermediate experience with UNIX environment.
