RESEARCH LABORATORY OPERATIONS MANAGER, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research -Yaffe Lab, to assist the principal investigator (PI) in managing research lab operations. Responsibilities include managing and developing new systems and processes to help improve lab operations: procuring and maintaining laboratory equipment and laboratory supplies; maintaining and organizing reagents/supplies database; and assisting with planning, organizing, and coordinating projects, including performing wet bench work and/or computational projects, grant submissions, project reports, talks/presentations, and lab-wide activities. Will also help oversee equipment and research space maintenance, daily spending, and technical staff activities; serve as the primary contact for all laboratory staff, including undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral associates; and assist with material transfer agreements and requests for reagents, cells, and mice.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree in a related scientific field; five years' experience working in a large research laboratory; supervisory experience; strong organizational, problem-solving, time-management, planning, interpersonal, technical/scientific writing, and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to work as part of a diverse team of graduate students/postdocs/research staff and promote collaboration among teams; budget management and project management experience; and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
