We are seeking a Senior Research Specialist who will be responsible for the coordination of research projects focused on lipids and biomarker proteins.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Will be managing mouse colonies, Genotyping, drug delivery orally and IV.
Will collect animal tissues and blood- prepare plasma and work with the principal investigator to manage, present data and coordinate the required components of research.
Responsible for ordering and receiving supplies and animals.
Will be supervising a junior level technician and an undergraduate student.
Be knowledgeable to use QRT-PCR gel Electrophoresis, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA assays to conduct Molecular studies.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Requires 4 years experience in a comparable laboratory performing relevant techniques or working in Biomedical Research.
Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

5 or more years of experience working in Biomedical Research.
