Job Description:
The University of Toledo is searching for a Program Director for Data Science in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This is a 12-month tenured/tenure-track position at the Associate or Full professor level, with primary responsibilities in overseeing the Data Science program, including curriculum, growing the programs and developing new data science offerings with growth potential, and serving as a primary advisor for Data Science students.
The Director will be responsible for working with an internal advisory committee, cultivating relationships with external stakeholders, and developing internship and/or co-op opportunities. The Director will also teach in the program, and maintain an active graduate-level research program in the development and use of Data Science tools and approaches as applied to their specific disciplinary specialty.
Salary and start-up funds are competitive.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in the Natural Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics, with a minimum of 5 years experience as a research-active externally funded faculty member whose research focuses on the development and deployment of tools and analysis of data from large data sets as applied to their specific discipline.
Must be tenure-eligible in one of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Departments.
