We are seeking an Associate Director of Communications who will play a key role in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to drive the planning, execution, and improvement of integrated communications campaigns in support of enrollment goals. The Associate will manage the overall communications and editorial calendar, and work collaboratively with admissions team members to execute the highest-quality work while upholding the Johns Hopkins University brand. They will oversee two communications team members and contribute to the areas of researching, conceptualizing, producing, publishing, and measuring effectiveness of communications strategies and plans.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of our annual communications calendar.
Lead the development of long-term and short-term campaign strategies designed to identify and attract prospective students to visit, apply, and enroll.
Play an instrumental role in the creation, implementation, maintenance, and assessment of strategic and integrated communications to a variety of audiences for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Monitor and update information based on the admissions cycle, including changes to deadlines, academic offerings, and scholarship opportunities.
Review and edit web content to ensure all information is timely and correct; recommend and make changes to content for clarity and impact.
Work with admissions staff to develop and monitor campaigns across select social media platforms.
Serve as communication liaison with University Communications and other University departments to enhance and support communications efforts across the University.
Work closely with agency partners to create communication materials across traditional and digital platforms to promote the University to prospective students, parents, high school guidance counselors, and other audiences.
Report to leadership on marketing and communications campaign metrics to ensure desired impact, consistency of messaging, and effectiveness.
Proactively communicate needs and risks to senior leadership.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimun Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Four or more years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably in a higher education setting.
Additional education may substitute for experience.

Comprehensive understanding of multi-channel marketing and integrated communications campaigns to optimize reach, engagement, and attainment of recruitment goals.
Ability to forecast, plan and deliver timely and quality communications to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and internal and external stakeholders.
An eye for detail and copywriting and design sense to produce high-quality marketing materials for both print and online.
Creativity and the ability to provide creative direction to others.
Excellent skills in organization, communication, and data presentation with competence in oral and written English.
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to compile and analyze data.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with students, faculty, staff, University officials and the general public.
