Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking candidates for two Experimental Geochemistry Postdoctoral - Subsurface Gas Storage positionsto work with our Earth Systems Observation Group in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory. You will work as part of a team to investigate the transport, reaction and geochemistry of gases at subsurface reservoir conditions for application to key LANL missions, including energy security.
D. in STEM field
Experience analyzing, interpreting and/or modeling fluid-solid geochemical reactions and using microscopic/spectroscopic techniques to characterize and observe reaction products
Experience designing and running experiments at elevated temperature and pressure conditions
Experience with triaxial coreflood systems to measure rock fracture processes and fluid flow through fractures
Experience writing and developing research proposals
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
