Research Technologist
The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Research Technologist in the Pain Research Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator or laboratory supervisor, the candidate is responsible for performing routine laboratory duties and experiments and mouse colony management. Work requires basic use of scientific methods, procedures and techniques gained through previous training and experience. Uses basic understanding of theory behind experiments and applies basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects, and to identify and trouble-shoot situations needing special attention. Exercises basic computer skills and learns and applies task-specific software necessary to perform laboratory function
