Under direction from the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, this position will develop, manage, and provide technical and advisory services on University Occupational Health and Safety programs that involve safety auditing, training, program review and development, exposure assessments, hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality, ergonomics, and assist in advising the college/university community in assigned health and safety program areas, including regulations, policies, and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, sciences, or related field and one year of related experience involving health and safety program development and implementation, IAQ investigations, health and safety inspections and auditing, and report writing; or Associate's degree in directly related field and three years of experience.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors and employees under stressful conditions.Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and efficiency.Valid driver's license.Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Construction standards.Ability to frequently walk throughout the campus, climb, and descend stairs.
