The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University (the Center) is looking for a Product Coordinator to join the Communications Practice. The first of its kind in the world, the Center aims to advance the field of public sector innovation by marrying cutting-edge practice with world class research in order to transform the culture of government, deliver exceptional results for residents, and inspire trust in public service.
The Product Coordinator support the creation and ongoing management of world-class digital tools and websites that support government leaders and partners across the globe. The Product Coordinator helps drive product development through project management, reporting, and high-quality customer service to diverse customer and user groups. The Product Coordinator will also contribute to strategic planning, research, and product design and management.
This role reports to the Center's Product Manager and work with Associate Product Managers and content, client, and partner teams to provide cutting-edge solutions for city leaders and government partners. The Center is committed to working with communities that are focused on ending legacies of structural, entrenched racism and oppression. The Product Coordinator must be willing to think about reimagined government, knowledge, and engagement models through the lens of dismantling these legacies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Website and Tool Maintenance
Assist a cross-functional team with product quality assurance, accessibility, and configuration focused on user experience.
Support the content management of program materials, news content, and other collateral on websites and other digital platforms.
Help with analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on site performance, user analytics, and industry/domain-focused research.
Product Development Support
Monitor activities, outputs, and progress supporting strategic product roadmaps and project goals.
Identify and close product delivery gaps.
Create and support prototyping of new product features and design improvements to improve user experience, and increase usage.
Assist product and client teams in translating concepts and requests into technical requirements and plans for developers, content contributors, and other staff and vendors.
Project Coordination and Administration
Perform routine administrative responsibilities, including scheduling and document management.
Provide technical writing support for user training manuals, process documentation, progress reporting, and other documentation needs.
Maintain project, content, document, and knowledge management systems for the Product Team.
Provide general support to the Product Team in digital property management and program or product launches and updates.
Support relationship management and coordination activities for diverse partners including internal teams, external vendors, philanthropic organizations, NGOs, and governments.
Coordinate timelines across projects to balance external partner requests with internal capacity.

Experience coordinating with subject matter experts.
Experience contributing to all aspects of successful projects throughout their lifecycle.
Experience project managing complex and evolving digital products.
Demonstrated client and customer service skills.
Interest in government and the public sector.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
