Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Specialist (Per Diem) for the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI). The primary purpose of the Physician Specialist (Per Diem) position is to provide quality and cost effective primary care services to patients, meeting their diverse health and social needs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Evaluates and manages patients of EOHSI. Develops and implements a plan of treatment.
Consults with other Attending Physicians regarding patient care.
Collaborates with colleagues and other health center personnel, referring agencies and consultants in a manner that promotes teamwork.
Participates on committees related to optimal patient care.
Provides care when Faculty are on leave, vacation, or in situations in which there is a demand for clinical services that exceeds capacity.
