The Division of Geriatric Neuropsychiatry is seeking a Research Program Assistant II who shall provide support for multiple research studies. The position requires frequent collaboration with the Research Program Manager and the Principal Investigator. The RPA II will assist with recruitment, and coordination of research subjects, the implementation, and conduct of clinical research protocols, the management of data and IRB applications, and approvals for observational studies and clinical trials related to dementia. A high degree of self-motivation is expected.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate study visits.
• Assist with setting up and conducting assessments of participants including cognitive and behavioral assessments.
  
• Assist in recruiting and consenting study participants.
  
• Assists with the collection, processing (pipetting, aliquoting), storage, and shipment of laboratory specimens as required by the research protocols.
  
• Enter data into study databases and resolve data queries.
  
• Meet regularly with Principal Investigator and Research Program Manager to review data accuracy and overall study progress.
  
• Assist with the completion of literature review and data analysis for research projects.
  
• Assist with the preparation of research presentations and reports.
  
• Attend in-service and external training, workshops, clinics, conferences, and other relevant programs for skills development.
  
• Use the University financial system and Card Program to pay participants and order supplies as well as other assigned financial duties.
  
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
• Two years related experience.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
