Job Description:
The Department of Communication at the University of Toledo invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Communication.
The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D. by time of appointment in Communication or a related field
Additionally, we are seeking a candidate who can help shape and modernize the curriculum and add relevant courses based on their expertise. The new hire will also be involved in the PRSSA student chapter on campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have expertise in some combination of the following: public relations, digital strategy, media studies, market research, social media, public policy, information systems and organizational behavior. In addition to teaching basic communication courses, possible courses include Public Relations Theory, Public Relations Campaigns, Public Relations Case Studies, Media Communication and Society, Consumer Culture, Social Media, Digital Publishing, and Organizational Communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications also include experience mentoring first-generation and under-represented minority students.
