We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Atmospheric Scientist, specialising in air quality, to join our growing Environmental team. This is a full-time position, based in our Melbourne office, with remote, flexible and hybrid working options also available for the right candidate.

The role:
We help our clients make good decisions based on robust science in the property, water, and construction sectors. You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:
Undertaking field works, including odour and dust assessments
Preparing air quality assessments for permits
Working directly with clients and environmental regulation authorities
Calculating emissions and using dispersion models to predict ambient contaminant concentrations
Performing greenhouse gas, air quality and climate risk assessments
Writing technical reports, including data analysis and interpretation
Our preferred candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in engineering (chemical or environmental), meteorology or environmental sciences
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Proven experience in dispersion modelling (CALPUFF and AERMOD as a minimum), meteorological modelling and emission estimation
Solid project management and client relationship management skills
Strong report writing and data analysis skills
A valid and unrestricted Australian Driver's License
Ability to write Microsoft Excel macros and knowledge of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model and Linux, desirable but not required
