The Director of Operations is a full-time year-round administrative position for our Midway campus and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Midway campus is a 450,000 square foot facility under one roof. Major responsibilities of the position are to oversee all aspects of the following areas and programs (including the staff and vendors directly responsible for them): maintenance, janitorial, engineering, landscape, room reservation/building use, and ensure that normal daily logistics run smoothly. As needed, the Director of Operations manages renovations and new construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the success of the maintenance team (7 FTE) and engineering department (1 FTE). Develop and encourage growth of team members while ensuring the health and productivity of the overall team.
Maintain a visible and approachable presence on campus. Understand needs, projects, and priorities of all departments/divisions so that the Operations team can provide intuitive and proactive support behind the scenes.
Oversee Freshdesk tickets (work order system) to identify/correct recurring issues and ensure that requests being routed to maintenance and engineering are in line with long term plans and are accounted for in the annual budget.
Secure bids and oversee the services of the contracted service providers with annual contracts – Preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems, water treatment, janitorial, landscape/irrigation, waste disposal, pest control, elevator service, fire alarm monitoring, etc.
Along with the Building Engineer, monitor a systematic preventive maintenance program on all aspects of the physical plant and building. Receive reports from Engineer on regular inspections of these systems and approve corrective action plans as needed.
Oversees room reservations and set up. Schedule, provide logistical support, and staff for all events on campus both during and after hours.
Partner with Building Engineer and Senior Admin team to respond to all after hours building emergencies.
Assume a leadership role in the planning, design, development, and maintenance of future facilities and renovation projects. Serve as point person during active projects to ensure construction process has minimal impact on day-to-day functioning of the School.
Develop annual budget with CFO for both operating and capital needs. Manage and track expenses throughout the year.
Assure that Parish is in compliance with all Federal, State and City regulations related to occupational health and safety.
As a member of the Administrative Committee, provide insight and support to the decision-making processes of the group.
Promote the school’s statement of mission and philosophy.
Work with Director of Community Safety to ensure building security systems are operational at all times and serve as a backup in this function.

Education and Experience:
4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience required.
5-years management experience required as well as an understanding of building mechanical systems and their functions.

Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
Fluency in Spanish a plus.
