Our lab specializes in research to understand the neural circuits that go awry in psychiatric illness, with a specific focus on anxiety and depression-related illnesses. We are looking to hire a laboratory manager in the Staff Research Associate (SRA) series. The successful candidate will oversee general laboratory management, including ordering supplies/maintaining stocks of supplies, working with IACUC and EHS for maintaining lab compliance, performing onboarding for new lab personnel, management of a mouse colony, and general laboratory tasks including immunohistochemistry, mouse stereotactic surgery and run behavioral experiments. We are especially keen to hire an individual who is highly organized, flexible in taking on multiple different tasks, can maintain detailed records and his highly motivated and capable of both working in a team and independent problem solving.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
