Detailed Job Description Please note: Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, holidays and during Institute emergencies as needed. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Auxiliary Facilities, the Compliance & Processes Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of compliance in Auxiliary Facilities. As a key member of the Auxiliary Facilities team, the Compliance & Processes Coordinator will work with key partners across the University to ensure reporting requirements, policies and procedures and to ensure mandatory training requirements are met by the Auxiliary Facilities staff. The Compliance & Processes Coordinator will be responsible for receiving and ensuring the implementation of ADA requests as well as noting areas of concern and non-compliance issues. The Compliance & Processes Coordinator will also review the inspection notifications, physical inspection process, follow-up process for all of housing. The individual in this position will also act in an administrative capacity, ensuring updates to operations manuals, emergency procedures, department policies and department procedures. The Compliance & Processes Coordinator will follow a plan of work and must be highly detailed and date sensitive.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and/or performs all training and documentation for management, full time employees, student and temporary employees. Ensure all employees, are in compliance with regulations by assisting in ensuring they have taken and/or been properly trained on Hazardous Chemicals, Confined Spaces, Electric safety, Asbestos, Safety issues, and all federal, state, local regulations and RIT policies.
Manage, Track and Update Annual Auxiliary Facilities Staff Training & Training Requirements. Work closely with various departments across RIT to help ensure employee compliance with RIT policies and training regulations.
Assist in the drafting, coordination and implementation and updating of all training manuals, as well as tracking all department trainings to ensure staff training requirements are met.

In coordination with the Auxiliary Services Compliance Department and Housing and Auxiliary Services, assist in ensuring essential compliance with Fire Alarm protocols within Housing; including but not limited to notifications to students, tracking individual violations, serving as point of contact for student concerns and compliance needs, and continuous process improvements.
Assist the Auxiliary Facilities Safety Systems Team in developing educational information to students regarding the Health and Safety processes: including coordinating events for students in regards to fire, health and safety, notifying them about processes, violations of the process and methods to be in compliance with RIT policies, as well as assist in any additional projects in regards fire, health and safety content.
Assist in ensuring compliance with monthly health and safety inspections through the coordination of specific dates for inspections with students who have specific needs and time restrictions.
Work directly with various departments across RIT(including, Auxiliary Services Compliance Office, Center for Residence Life, Disability Services Office, Public Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, etc.) in relations to ensuring compliance with Auxiliary Facilities Health and Safety processes.
Manage ADA Accommodations as it relates to Projects, Support and Compliance for all of Housing.
Manage and update the Auxiliary Facilities Continuity of Operations Plan.
Assist in compliance with all aspects of pest control issues, including vendor scheduling, student correspondence, and the training and education of students on process/procedures to prevent pest infiltration and pest removal.
Assists in preparation of reports to the Auxiliary Services Compliance Department, EH&S and Housing.
Ensure Vendor COIs and contact information are up to date. Monitor Vendor contracts for compliance with RIT Policies relative to insurance needs, inspections and ensure training requirements for vendor staff are met and maintained.
Create report and track compliance of Vendors in regards to Vendor false fire alarm tracking, billing, education, and communication.
Assist in ensuring all Auxiliary Facilities are following and have up to date Material Safety Data Sheets.
Provide Administrative Support to Executive Director/Assist with Special Projects.
Liaison with Auxiliary Services/EH&S/Auxiliary Services Compliance FMS/Other Departments for the above areas.
Manage Temporary Staff/Student Staff.

3 to 5 years of progressive experience.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with a strong focus on customer service.
Familiarity with housing accommodation automation systems such as StarRez or ability to learn.
Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office (specifically word and excel).
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Must be able to effectively prioritize work demands, handle multiple tasks simultaneously; work independently and with attention to detail.
Process Review and Administrative Experience.
Must be reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy.
