The Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking a Software Developer with expertise in web applications for user interface. The successful candidate will work with a systems engineer and faculty leaders to develop and implement a next generation database with a web-based interface for the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (JHADRC). The envisioned database is an Azure SQL Managed Instance.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will partner in the database design and implementation and lead in the design, development and implementation of the web interface, cloud computing Azure Web App built using C#/.NET Core, and graphical user interface.
It is anticipated that over time the position will transition to continuing support and development of the JHADRC database system as well as collaboration with partners for example, the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on projects requiring data science support and software engineering expertise.
The position will require collaboration with multiple researchers, and funding will be provided via a combination of funded grants and strategic investments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Three years related experience.
Experience working on Microsoft.NET (ASP.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API), Angular.
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Direct programming experience while pursuing education may count towards related experience. Significant undergraduate programming coursework or independent project can be considered as related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree preferred.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as R, C++, Python, JAVA
Experience in writing and distributing software applications.
Experience with handling sensitive HIPAA protected data preferred.
Experience with handling clinical trial data in a research setting preferred.
