Department Overview

Position Summary

Responsible for the evaluation and provision of speech therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including physician orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, physician and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the position's duties are performed within Children's Hospitals and Clinics Standards of Behavior.

This position is primarily inpatient infant feeding and swallowing located at Children's Minnesota - Minneapolis, a level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Potential to float to other Children's inpatient sites/departments as patient census requires, including weekend rotation in Minneapolis/St. Paul hospitals once every four weekends.

Candidates with NICU or special care nursery experience preferred.
