The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Program Coordinator that will be responsible for implementing clinical research related to understanding brain health in vulnerable populations including people with HIV, mental illness, and dementia in the Division of Neuroimmunology & Neurological Infections. The candidate will be personable and dedicated individuals with the ability and desire to help patients with diverse needs. The candidate must be well-organized and be able to work independently, as well as collaborate with the principal investigators and research team. In addition, applicants should be thorough and detail-oriented when performing all aspects of the research including when conducting cognitive testing, scoring, and record keeping.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct participant telephone and in-person screening, schedule, and enroll research participants.
Administer and score neuropsychological testing.
Manage the collection of and assure the accuracy of data for all participant visits.
Assist the principal investigators in monitoring study progress and defining and planning study goals.
Manage and maintain all participant binders, study binders, and documentation for the study.
Assist with the preparation of IRB submissions and continuing review reports.
Assist with bio specimen collection and follow protocol requirements for appropriate handling and labeling.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience in neuropsychological test administration, REDCap, EPIC, and adhering to IRB protocols.
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preference will be given to someone with a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
