We are seeking aResearch Assistant who will work on developing literature review protocols on the state of evidence in maternal immunization. The selected candidate will conduct all necessary research activities such as data management, screening, extraction, and analysis for successful completion of the project. The Research Assistant will serve as a critical member of the team and will work closely with other team members, including the Principal Investigator, and support administrative activities for the project, as needed.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the collection and analysis of data to provide useful insights to decision-makers.
Develop research procedures and methodology.
Use rigorous qualitative methods to analyze data sources.
Develop slide decks and other written reports for internal and external dissemination.
Contribute to conference abstracts and manuscripts.
Maintain quality controls standards to preserve the integrity of the data and findings.
Provide detail oriented and organized analytics and models to transform data sets into meaningful insights to inform stakeholder decision making.
Conduct research on using qualitative research methods and interpret research findings in a clear and concise manner.
Develop and implement data collection protocols and survey instruments, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and conduct research studies that address complex research questions.
Communicate research findings to diverse audiences, including academic researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
Author research reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals, and presenting research findings at conferences and other venues.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Spanish / Portuguese / French.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
