Associate Specialist - UCI Environmental & Occupational Health - Program in Public Health
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Program in Public Health at the University of California-Irvine seeks an Associate Specialist, at 75% employment time, for research to conduct environmental exposure assessment in supporting of multiple environmental health studies. We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated individual who has excellent quantitative, research, and communication including writing skills, and has a track record of conducting environmental exposure assessment using advance geospatial and machine learning methods, particularly for air pollution. This person will: 1) lead efforts in conducting high spatiotemporal resolution exposure assessments for air pollution, climate change related factors, and built environment factors using big data and advanced modeling methods; 2) work closely with the principal investigator and other teams to facilitate the use of the exposure estimates in epidemiological studies; 3) maintain project documentation and reporting; and 4) write manuscript and assist in grant writing. This position is grant funded. Position is renewable, contingent on satisfactory performance and funding availability. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
