FACILITIES MANAGER, Office of Innovation (OI)/MIT InnovationHQ (iHQ), to manage a variety of facility operations for the OI and iHQ (approximately 70%) and collaborate closely with colleagues from other departments to ensure smooth operations in shared common facilities and systems in MIT's building E38 (approximately 30%). Will report directly to the director of administration and finance in the OI and ensure smooth day-to-day building operations for the iHQ (floors 3 through 7). This will include providing appropriate access to the building and rooms (physical and digital); working closely with the OI event planner on security and staffing matters; serving as a liaison and managing relationships with MIT Police, EHS, Parking and Transportation, Campus Planning, MIT Facilities, and other related MIT groups outside of E38 and alongside MIT Admissions and Open Space Programming inside of E38; ensuring safety, security, and compliance matters for all events held in iHQ; and assessing facilities' needs and developing ongoing process improvements and guidelines for all operational areas.

Work conditions: moving objects weighing 10 to 20 lbs.; traversing long distances or moving from site to site; and use of arms and/or legs to push, pull, and lift objects. There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. It is a typical office/administrative work environment.
May be required to work nights and weekends.
