Job SummaryThe Area Service Technician reports to the Regional Vice President (RVP) and travels among a select group of properties within a local market or region to perform general maintenance and repairs to apartment units and other property facilities.  The Area Service Technician works alongside the on-site maintenance team under the general supervision of the property manager and direct supervision of the service manager.  Technical responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks; preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for occupancy.
