Under the direction of the Associate Medical Director, oversee daily operations of and ensure delivery of high quality patient care services throughout the Acute Care Clinic, Primary Care Clinic, Nursing Clinic, Behavioral Health and Psychiatry Clinic, and Specialty Clinics. Provide leadership and administrative direction. Participate in a collaborative team approach with the Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Counseling Services Director, Counseling Services Clinical Director and other Clinical Managers/Supervisors to coordinate clinic operations, staff schedules and patient flow systems. Provide direct supervision of Registration Staff Supervisor and Medical Assistant supervisor, to direct patient care flow. Responsible for directing a student-centered approach to health care, setting standards for productivity and promoting teamwork among staff. Ensure timely and efficient care and safety for staff and for students at the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC). The Clinic Operations Supervisor will provide visionary leadership in order to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems and financial performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Current CPR certification.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Experience and knowledge with clinic administration.
Experience working with practice management database and/or electronic health record system. Experience and skill in the analysis of complex information or problems in an object manner and derive logical conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities and selecting appropriate courses of action.
Experience in a leadership position and ability to work independently to utilize skills for problem prevention in patient care process; conflict resolution change facilitation and problem solving.
Analytical skills to effectively understand large amounts of complex medical, administrative and fiscal information, and ability to absorb such information to make timely and thoughtful decisions.
Strong leadership and management skills to provide planning, coordination and direction to departmental staff, and to propose innovative solutions to management problems. Must have knowledge of HR-related policies and procedures. Position must be able to work in a collaborative manner, and lead and influence others on matters of significance.
Planning skills to analyze program goals and objectives given the current and potential health care trends, to make accurate short- and long-term projections to establish program needs and resource requirements.
Has skills needed to deliver quality health service programs to students. Requires highly effective problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years working in college health setting or equivalent
Previous experience working under high stress time pressures and extreme clinical emergencies.
Experience in a customer service oriented philosophy.
Cultural competence skills to communicate with and support a wide variety of people of diverse backgrounds.

Department Overview
Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides primary care, mental health, urgent care, laboratory, pharmacy, optometry, health education and counseling services to registered UC Davis students. SHCS serves approximately 300 patients per day during the school year. The mission is to provide campus health and wellness resources that enable students to successfully achieve their academic goals and life-long wellness. SHCS has approximately 200 staff including managers, senior professionals, professional and support staff, student employees, interns and post doc residents. SHCS is accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), IACS (International Association for Counseling Services), and APA (American Psychological Association). SHCS Counseling Services are staffed by an educationally diverse group of licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, masters-level therapists, and pre-and post-doctoral trainees, dedicated to assisting students and enriching the university community by providing individual counseling, group services, educational programs, psychological consultation, workshops, and other types of outreach services. Counseling services are offered at no cost to registered students.
