Job Summary
UC Davis Health Occupational & Employee Health Clinic (OEHC) provides treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses; preventive medical services; OSHA and departmentally mandated medical surveillance programs; onboarding of new employees; and supportive efforts designed to improve the general well-being of UCDH staff. OEHC is in the Division of Hospital Operations with a collaborative focus on the Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) vision to create an environment where it is equally safe to work as it is to receive healthcare, partner with those who support or provide patient care in a matter that protects human health.
Medical care is provided by physicians who are Board Certified in Occupational Medicine and/or Family Practice or Internal Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications
California Medical License in good standing
Board Certified in Occupational Medicine and/or Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
In possession of a current DEA Certification.
Meets the credentialing and privileging standards for UCDH medical staff.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skills to analyze needs, establishing priorities and provide appropriate medical care and preventive medicine services to the UCDH community.
Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and processes.
Working knowledge of applicable State and Federal law, including laws and regulations related to privacy and confidentiality.
Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and diplomatically with people from diverse ethnic, economic and cultural backgrounds, including staff, faculty, and contracted personnel.
Computer and keyboarding skills to use Electronic Medical Record software programs. Ability to learn and use information systems as they apply to Occupational Health and large surveillance and immunization programs.
Familiar with Occupational Health clinic practice management philosophies.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience in a university, academic, or health care setting.
Department Description
UCDH Occupational & Employee Health Clinic (OEHC) conducts over 44,000 patient visits a year between employees, volunteers, medical students, and affiliated students. OEHC provides support and services to the Occupational (Workers' Compensation) Clinic that sees approximately 500 patients a year. The department collaborates with others in the Department of ESOH in order to maximize the health and safety of our employees, including Workers' Compensation and Environmental Health & Safety.
