The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing invites applications and nominations for the Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Pre-licensure Education position.
Candidates for this position must have successful leadership/administrative experience and success in an academic setting with pre-licensure, undergraduate programs, and seamless progression programs; expertise in the pedagogy of teaching/learning and curriculum development and evaluation; and knowledge of and experience in nursing education regulatory and accreditation requirements. Candidates must be a recognized scholar and active in professional service. A graduate degree in nursing and a doctorate in nursing or a related field is required. Candidates must also hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of Alabama or be eligible for licensure as a RN in Alabama. Candidates may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role. Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience. This is not a remote position.
