The Mellon College of Science is seeking a full-time Veterinarian to support Carnegie Mellon’s animal facilities by working collaboratively with the research investigators, research staff, facility personnel, IACUC, and others to maintain a quality program. Responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of all animals approved for use through the IACUC. Participates in IACUC activities that include protocol review and post-approval monitoring and compliance. Clinical requirements include disease detection and surveillance, treatment and resolution; overseeing surgical and post-surgical care; advising and providing oversight on animal handling, restraint, use of analgesics and tranquilizers and methods of euthanasia in accordance with AVMA guidelines; advising on the oc
