Radiation Safety Technologist / Safety Technologist
Working/Functional Title Radiation Safety Technologist Position Summary This position assists in the development and implementation of all areas of MSU’s radiation safety program and operations, including: Administration of MSU's NRC license, and all aspects of radiation use, storage, transport and disposal Conducts surveys and inspections of research laboratories to ensure compliance with State and Federal rules, regulations, and guidelines Conducts and administers monitoring programs and performs tests and calibrations of radiation detection equipment to maintain compliance with regulations Orders, receives, and transports radioactive materials for EHS and MSU laboratories
