Job Description:
The Department of Pathology at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is seeking a full-time, tenure track, academic anatomic/clinical pathologist and cytopathologist. UTMC is a tertiary care center that supports UT College of Medicine programs for medical students, graduate students, and residents in a wide variety of programs. The Department of Pathology has training programs for AP/CP residents, for pathologists' assistants, and for laboratory technicians.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate primary clinical responsibilities at UTMC with other anatomic pathologists
Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position, and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills.
Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research, and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume.
Provide services Monday through Friday
Call every sixth weekend
Minimum Qualifications:
M.D. or equivalent degree
Must be AP/CP Board certified
Must have successful completion of Fellowship in cytopathology along with Board Certification
Must be eligible for licensure in Ohio Evidence of excellence in teaching and evidence of significant scholarly activity are essential
Minimum of 1 year experience in Pathology/Cytopathology
