Job DescriptionA full time research assistant (1.0 FTE) position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Herson, Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery. The research of the laboratory investigates the mechanisms of neuronal injury and repair following cerebral ischemia. This research assistant position will provide support for ongoing research. The applicant will be responsible for on-boarding and developmental training of new staff with the utilization of performing small animal surgery on a daily basis, performing experimental stroke and CA/CPR studies for independent projects as well as producing experimental animals for ongoing research.
