Supervising Waste Management Specialist
Under general direction, Supervising Waste Management Specialist supervises a major unit within a section of a division or department. Incumbents are responsible for planning, directing and evaluating the work of professional and technical staff in a unit within a section. They perform a wide variety of highly technical assignments requiring specialized and scientific competence in areas of solid and/or liquid non-hazardous and/or hazardous waste and hazardous materials management which may include program development, planning, resource recovery, education, commercial waste control, environmental, reduction, diversion, and safety programs. They also perform the more complex and difficult evaluations, investigations or studies involving emerging non-hazardous waste and hazardous waste
