FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Professor or Associate Professor, and Director, Commoner Center, Queens College
The Barry Commoner Center for Health & the Environment, Queens College, City University of New York, seeks a new tenure track Professor or Associate Professor to serve as the Director of the Commoner Center. The candidate must have a MD or PhD degree in relevant public health disciplines/specialties. Occupational and environmental medicine, epidemiology, and exposure science are required areas of principal focus. A successful candidate will have strong record of published environmental and occupational health research; consistent evidence of successful research funding support; demonstrated intellectual and professional leadership in an academic or government setting; substantive experience interacting with communities and organizations; a record of regional, national, or international leadership; and evidence of commitment to the mission of CUNY.
Compensation is competitive and derives from tax levy (hard) funds, including a benefits package from CUNY covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
