The City of Roanoke is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Solid Waste Management Division who will perform difficult skilled work in supervision of a number of crews in collection of trash and recycling. Responsible for personal contact with new business owners, property managers, residents, DRI, event zone and the Chamber of Commerce to ensure that the trash and recycling process is fully understood by all. Will be responsible for supervising the Operations Group within SWM on a daily basis which includes monitoring the 1,100 physically challenged customers and assists in the absence of the other two supervisors.
